Creative Home Educators is a group of families whose homes are places of learning for all ages. Many of the members are those who practice an Earth-based form of spirituality, but we welcome any kindred spirits. We have Christian, Unitarian Universalist, Buddhist, atheist, and agnostic members. We do not tolerate discrimination against people based on ethnicity, race, gender, sexual identity, faith, size, or family type.

Most of us are homeschoolers. We do, however, attract and welcome families who send their children to either a public or private school, as well as those whose children are far too young for formal education. We come together for play dates, field trips, cooperative learning experiences, and support.

What we truly have in common is a passion for learning, a dedication to our families, and open-minded attitudes regarding spirituality.

There is no proselytizing regarding any religion on any CHE list or other official communications.

We have two public mailing lists. The North Georgia list is largely made up of members in the Greater Atlanta area, with tendrils reaching all the way up to the Tennessee border. The South Georgia list covers areas south of Atlanta. Members are welcome to either or both lists, as they wish.

The North Georgia list is extremely active, and the members have formed a very closely knit community. We do meet in person, and at times some of us open our homes to others from this group. Because of that, we may be a little more cautious about who joins our mailing list than lists that don't include an offline component. If you are interested in joining our email group, please remember that the caution we use in deciding who gets on this list will protect you and your family as it does us and ours!
